useMAPI - How?

edited November 2012 in FastReport 4.0
Is anyone had any luck getting the newly "published" useMAPI property in Tfrxmailexport to do anything? If so, can you share the magic incantation or whatever you used?

NB: - this is actually another great example of modern programming; "write the code, bugger the documentation".

Thanks

I think you should set UseMAPI property to True

Yea, I understand that. However, the behaviour is not as I'd expect. The user is prompted for server & user criteria (a simpleMAPI approach would avoid that). If it's entered, the component gives an AV error. After that it appears to send but doesn't.

I haven't had time to trace the code but will do so.

It's a shame new "features" aren't documented so one didn't have to stuff around like this.

    Cheers

Got me confused as well. About that, is there a plan to have a user guide or some sort?

Can anyone enlighten the un-enlightened how in the name of Thor MAPI is supposed to work? As best as I can work out anything sent with useMAPI goes to > /dev/null

Cheers and all the best for 2013

Rich Text Editor. To edit a paragraph's style, hit tab to get to the paragraph menu. From there you will be able to pick one style. Nothing defaults to paragraph. An inline formatting menu will show up when you select text. Hit tab to get into that menu. Some elements, such as rich link embeds, images, loading indicators, and error messages may get inserted into the editor. You may navigate to these using the arrow keys inside of the editor and delete them with the delete or backspace key.
