Bug when adding Alternate coloring

Fast Report Gurus,

When attempting to insert an "alternate color" per section 4.4 of the User Manual a bug becomes evident if the existing databound "text" objects are align left. I find the only way to insert the "highlighted" text is by setting the existing databound objects to Align= None.

What happens is the the new "highlighted" text is treated as having its alignment set to Align=Left.

PLEASE fix this with your next release.

Regards,
Monte Carver

are you confusing the alignment of the object within the band banone and the halign property
which is the alignment of text within the text object's memo.

Sadly no. The current work around, is to drop the databound text objects into "MasterData1" set the Align = alLeft. Now that the objects are properly aligned, one must set these objects to Align=alNone. Then cut them from the "MasterData1", and now drop on the background text (with Align=alNone.). And finally paste back the databound objects. Of course anytime one readjusts the widths, the Left property of all objects must be handled manually, or the above procedure must be repeated.

This problem is easily reproduced. I am quite new to FastReports, but this behaviour is very repeatable.

Rich Text Editor. To edit a paragraph's style, hit tab to get to the paragraph menu. From there you will be able to pick one style. Nothing defaults to paragraph. An inline formatting menu will show up when you select text. Hit tab to get into that menu. Some elements, such as rich link embeds, images, loading indicators, and error messages may get inserted into the editor. You may navigate to these using the arrow keys inside of the editor and delete them with the delete or backspace key.
