FastReport web demo

edited December 2009 in FastReport .NET
Hi

We are evaluating Fast Reports and are most impressed so far. Unfortunately the FastReports web site is a bit thin on information regarding it's use in a browser so I have tried to run the web demo but get hundreds of errors with missing namespaces (FastReport.Data, FastReport.Dialog etc.)

So, 1) how do I get the web demo to run and
2) how can FastReports be used on the web - can the designer be run in a browser (assuming client has .net etc installed of course), is there a web report viewer ?

Any help much appreciated

    Hello,

    1) Probably you have to update the reference to FastReport.dll, to compile the demo.
    2) The designer is WinForms only, you cannot use it in a browser. There is a report viewer, you can read about its use in the developer's manual, "Working with ASP.NET" section.

Rich Text Editor. To edit a paragraph's style, hit tab to get to the paragraph menu. From there you will be able to pick one style. Nothing defaults to paragraph. An inline formatting menu will show up when you select text. Hit tab to get into that menu. Some elements, such as rich link embeds, images, loading indicators, and error messages may get inserted into the editor. You may navigate to these using the arrow keys inside of the editor and delete them with the delete or backspace key.
