OnStartReport Event Not Being Processed On Execution

As the title states...whenever I execute a report on my development computer (BCB 6, Vista), I have no problems with FR entering the OnStartReport event (debugged using ShowMessage statements)...but if I copy my exe and fr3 files over to a test environment (XP), I cannot get the execution process to enter the OnStartReport event. It always seems to jump to OnBeforePrint of the first band on the report.

The only real special things I'm doing with the reports are that they are inheriting from another template that only contains a BDE query object, a page head and a page footer (which are common amongst all of my reports). Most of my reports are working properly...there are a handful that are experiencing this situation...which has me really puzzled.

The only other thing that I feel I should mention (but might not have any bearing on this scenario) is that my development environment and testing environment are both in virtual machines.

Any ideas why I cannot hit this (OnStartReport) event?

Thanks for any help anyone might be able to provide.

"but if I copy my exe and fr3 files over to a test environment (XP)", this might be the culprit after copying the files did you unblock them.

Thanks for the reply! Unfortunately, I don't think this is the case. There are no blocking issues with any of the involved files. I've checked permission on the development machine and in the test environment...and everything seems to check out ok. Still stumped.

Just a wild guess: does the 'bad' computer have any printers installed?
Just open its Control Panel -> Printers and see if anything is listed there, apart from the 'Add a printer' button.
I used to get suppressed exceptions in those cases.

Thanks for the suggestion. The"bad" computer did not have any printers set up...so I set one up...the same printer that my development machine has set as its default printer (HP)...and I am still experiencing the same issues. Continuing to "rewrite" these "bad" reports...if after the rewrites, I experience this again, I'll have to do further troubleshooting and identify exactly what happened. Will post any results then.
