Converting to Fast Reports 3

I currently have over 100 reports written in FastReports 2.5 and wanted to convert them into Fast Reports 3 or now Fast Reports 4.

I have downloaded the batch converter and have run several of my frf files through it - and this does not perform an acceptable conversion. Furthermore, I have also tried loading my frf files into the Fast reports 3 designer and performed a Save As fr3 option. While this changes the extension and a frew other things, the reports is not fully converted and therefore cannot be used in the same way.

Is there known problems with automatically converting reports from frf to fr3? using either of the 2 methods?

If so, I will have to manually convert every single report to work with fr3 which I cannot afford the time to do.

Is there a service you offer to assist in converting reports from fr2 to fr3? or even fr2 to fr4?

Thanks

document differences between major FR versions
there is no easy method and no service.
most simple reports will convert complex ones will probably have to be checked.

One of the things that concerns me is that we have over 100 reports to *possibly* rewrite to ensure that they function with FR3/FR4 and due to major differences in the versions - we will have to go through every single report and ensure they are converted correctly either through the provided converter (for sinple reports), or manually (for complex reports).

As you can imagine, this is a very labour intesive task and can take months to rewrite, validate and test.

My concern is that as Fast Reports develop's newer versions of their product, will I have to go through this process every single time when I want to upgrade to the latest version?

From a business point of view, this would be repeating work and a very costly exercise. We would be willing to do a manual conversion this time around and absorb the cost, but would not be acceptable to have to convert manually everytime a newer release of FR is released.

    Any thoughts?

Rich Text Editor. To edit a paragraph's style, hit tab to get to the paragraph menu. From there you will be able to pick one style. Nothing defaults to paragraph. An inline formatting menu will show up when you select text. Hit tab to get into that menu. Some elements, such as rich link embeds, images, loading indicators, and error messages may get inserted into the editor. You may navigate to these using the arrow keys inside of the editor and delete them with the delete or backspace key.
