Help please, can't print in pos dot printer

Hi all, I'm from spain, sorry for my bad english

I work as computer technician in a software company in Spain. Our programmers are using Delphi 7 and Fast Report to make our new programs. One of these programs is for shops to sell their products and they use to work with epson dot printers, those little printers, for pos (I think is the word in english)

Yesterday I was talking with one of our programmers and he told me that he can't print in a epson tmu 210 through Fast Report, and he has to make the design of the ticket in the delphi code of the program. When he tries to print with a design in Fast Report, the printer only print strange codes, not the design.

I can't believe that this must be true, I want to believe that we could print and users make his own designs for those kind of printers using Fast Report design.

Have I explain my problem? Can someone help me?

Many thanks!!

    Hello,

I don't see why you could not print on a pos printer using FastReport. I have done that a while ago and i could print. (easily done, I don't see the problem)

Although, I don't use FastReport when printing using a pos printer, it's too slow. Instead i send code directly to the printer and now it's fast and works like a charm.

    Regards
    Piere
