Fasty Reports upgrade to 3.x

I am currently using FR 2.5vcl. I want to upgrade to BCB2006 but it looks like the 2.5vcl product is not patched to support it. So will my VCL reports i've designed in 2.5x work in 3.0? All i want is a basic embeddable report engine and it seems like 3.0 is overkill but as long as it does what I need im fine with using it.

Rich Text Editor. To edit a paragraph's style, hit tab to get to the paragraph menu. From there you will be able to pick one style. Nothing defaults to paragraph. An inline formatting menu will show up when you select text. Hit tab to get into that menu. Some elements, such as rich link embeds, images, loading indicators, and error messages may get inserted into the editor. You may navigate to these using the arrow keys inside of the editor and delete them with the delete or backspace key.
