Component writing

Can I create a "baseline" component derived from TfrxReport or TfrxReportComponent ? I am evaluating this package for my project. I use a standard format in many reports and I wanna create a report component for this.
Can I do this with Fast Report ? I has read some pages of documentation and I undertood I can write custom components derived from bands and others objects, but I don't know if I can do the same with TfrxReport or TfrxComponent.
And, if is this possible, what about Fast Script? There is some way of inheritance? Can I inherit those functions I writed in the "baseline" in the derived reports?
