Fastreport 3 and Clientdataset
Currently I am using Reportbuilder Ent. and it is fine...
before some days, I downloaded a demo version of Fastreport 3.15 prof... and I found amazing features in it which is not available in ReportBuilder....
So I started to make a full test to check if it is suit my applications.... but I face a problem using n-tier...
In Fast report, we can connect to database using ADO, BDE, DBX, etc... but what about n-Tier connectivity....
All my application are n-tier, and as you know I am using Clientdataset (DCOM, Web, etc) to connect to my application server (Database)... so in Fastreport there is no support for this feature...
So I had to use predefine Clientdataset and FRDataset... it works, but I lost the Querybuilder feature, which is very important....
In this case I can not give to my clients a flexible report designer....
What I need?
I need to allow my clients to add Clientdataset connectivity like they add ADO, and to allow them to use Querybuilder to create there reports... So is there an Add-On for this feature... or is there an overcome to override this limitation.
