About FastReport 3.0 Basic

Hello, I'm interested in buying FastReport 3.0 Basic : I don't need any DB, user designer or script. However, it's said that Basic licence doesn't include FastReport source code. I'm asking whether the preview dialog source code is however included (frxPreview.pas) so that I can redesign the preview dialog and change the icon ?

    You can use TfrxPreview component to create own preview windows, without need to change FR sources.

    You're right. But in this case, I've got another problem : there's no help for frxRuler. I would need an exemple combining frxPreview, frxScrollBox and frxRuler together. Is this possible ? I guess that I'm not the only one who whould be interested, and this exemple should be included in FastReport 3.0, shouldn't it ?

    Ruler is the add-on component for internal use only. You may try to use it in your application, but it was not designed for such purposes. Another problem is that you can't combine frxPreview with scrollbox because preview is a scrollbox itself. All logic related to moving the preview pages inside a box, is inside of frxPreview.pas source.

    One more thing about including source of frxPreview into Basic version. It is impossible because frxClass.dcu will complain about incompatible version of frxPreview.pas when you change it.

    No problem. I've tried to make a custom preview dialog and it works nice. FastReport is great.

Rich Text Editor. To edit a paragraph's style, hit tab to get to the paragraph menu. From there you will be able to pick one style. Nothing defaults to paragraph. An inline formatting menu will show up when you select text. Hit tab to get into that menu. Some elements, such as rich link embeds, images, loading indicators, and error messages may get inserted into the editor. You may navigate to these using the arrow keys inside of the editor and delete them with the delete or backspace key.
