I need some help please.

I am calling a number and need to mask the last 4 digits with 4 *

[Copy(<frmDSDB."Number">,1,8)] ** //there are 4 but 2 are getting removed when I press enter

if the number is either Witheld or Unknown I just want to show the word and not the 4 stars
