Problem with Custom paper sizes

I need to print on 20x8 cm papers.

I changed paper size in page options dialogs, but it always supposes the paper size is A4.

I defined a new paper size in Printer's settings dialogs and I select this size on printer setup dialog, but report prints an A4 paper and when I check paper size in Printer's setup dialog, it's set back to A4.

I have not this problem with other softwares.

My printer is a HP LaserJet 1200.

Not all printers able to print on custom paper sizes. Many printers do not accept paper sizes less than some values (for example, printer driver ???HP LaserJet 6L??? does not support page dimensions less than 76 * 127 mm; printer driver ???HP LaserJet 4L??? does not support a custom size page at all)

I don't think so, because I use this this trick which works:

When printing I select "Microsoft Office Document Image Writer" as printer and resulting document is in my dimensions.

Then I print this resulting document to my HP 1200 using Microsoft Office Document Image Writer while I use the custom paper size in Printer's setup dialog, and it prints fine on my custom size paper.

    any ideas?

I tested this issue in microsoft word today.

I created a 80x200 mm page and type some info into it:
    http://www.delphishop.com/temp/fr_custom_size_01.gif

Resulting printed paper is as following (with no special setting, just selected print from the file menu:

    http://www.delphishop.com/temp/fr_custom_size_01_2.gif

It shows that my HP LaserJet 1200 has ability to print custom paper sizes as easy as intserting a paper in desired size in manual tray.

I tried to do it in FR3:

    http://www.delphishop.com/temp/fr_custom_size_02.gif

and I got this result on printing:

    http://www.delphishop.com/temp/fr_custom_size_02_2.gif

As you can see FR3 aligned paper content at left, as it should print on an A4 paper, and not a 80x200 mm paper.

It seems it's a bug in FR3 which can't set printer parameters correctly.

I'm looking forward to hear from you.

    Thanks.

It is normal behaviour, FR always aligns the output to the left.

OK, we suppose it is normal,
So what I should do when I need to print on custom papers?
I can do it in other softwares, and now I need to add this feature into my application.

As I see this feature in all other softwares, I expect to have this feature in my favorite reporting tool. Please attention.

Any chance to get a proper reply?

It's just impossible to make FR working as you wish, sorry.

I can't beleive that it's impossible to make FR working as above, because I saw this feature in other reporting tools like ReportBuilder and CrystalReports.

If they can do it, so it's possible.

Rich Text Editor. To edit a paragraph's style, hit tab to get to the paragraph menu. From there you will be able to pick one style. Nothing defaults to paragraph. An inline formatting menu will show up when you select text. Hit tab to get into that menu. Some elements, such as rich link embeds, images, loading indicators, and error messages may get inserted into the editor. You may navigate to these using the arrow keys inside of the editor and delete them with the delete or backspace key.
