Cant't install FastReport5

When I try to install FastReport 5
I get an error:

Source File: FR_VCL

Line Number: 1

Access violation at address 749E15DA in module 'version.dll'.
Read of address 00000004

What can I do?

I've already done it
I installed it on another computer, then I copied all unpacked files to my computer and did recompile.

but this is just a workaround.
I don't know what is causing the problem.

When you installed initially, were you replacing a previous version?

If there was a prior installation, did you manually uninstal it first?

You cannot rely on the FR installer to replace the files, Registry entries etc.

We always use IObit Uninstaller to get the cleanest system, before a new installation, and have not had any issues with either v5 or v6.
