newbie question: databands

edited 11:43PM in FastReport .NET
Hi all,

I am quite new to FastReport and want to understand it thouroughly before I learn it false.

As indicated in the description, could someone please explain the following to me (the more into detail you go, the better):

What difference difference does it make to put the report data into a child band, a detail band or all in the master band?
If I put everything into the master band, I can steer the required information quite nicely with a very detailed SQL-statement (joining and grouping, etc.)?
Why should I consider using the other possibilities?

Thank you very much for taking the time to answer this.

Bye,
Rob

Rich Text Editor. To edit a paragraph's style, hit tab to get to the paragraph menu. From there you will be able to pick one style. Nothing defaults to paragraph. An inline formatting menu will show up when you select text. Hit tab to get into that menu. Some elements, such as rich link embeds, images, loading indicators, and error messages may get inserted into the editor. You may navigate to these using the arrow keys inside of the editor and delete them with the delete or backspace key.
