Including "Tabs" and "Indents"

Is it possible to add "Tabs" and "Indents" within the RTF editor. It appears so but I am unable to figure it out.
The intent is to have rows of text be LEFT ALIGNED a given spacing from the left margin. And of course spaces do not work with most fonts.
