That's a pretty vague question, you are more likely to get a good answer if you provide some more details about what you are doing.
However - I have had success in creating Group Header/Footer around a databand, and then printing a matrix in the group footer. Only the records that match the group will be processed in the matrix.
You can also group within the matrix itself by dragging additional properties to the matrix (a red box will come up and you can direct the grouping that way).
