Some Questions

Hi...
I have noticed some problems using FR3.2 and i have some questions (fr3.2, cbuilder 6)
1. Problem 1 (minor)
When i do not set a correct file name for ini file (frxreport obj) and i am on design mode, after closing the report i get an error like ' i cannot write to file ....'. If the page i last used (in fr3 design mode) is a dialog form, the form remains on-top and i have to close the cbuilder and reopen the project to make it hide
2. Problem 2 (major)
I use ADS as RDBMS. I had to make a component for ADS and i added it to the frx components, but i cannot find the project adsconnections available to the database tab on frxadsquery database tab. This also happens for ADO components (i have used the code from these components for ADS comp i made). Any suggestions?
3. Problem 3 (major)
I saved some reports from fr2.52 to fr3 format. After i tried them with fr3.2 i found the sql strings i used in sql coms were not present!!!
4. Problem 4 (minor)
The converted reports come with sizes and coordinates of the objects changed to mess
5. Question
As ADS is a very popular RDBMS for delphi-cbuilder is it possible for you to make the right comps?
6. Question
With fr2.xx we had some powerpack options to use (like extended fuctions e.g. FIRSTDAYOFPREVMONTH). Can we have them back to FR3?
7. Installation problem
If there is installed an older version of fastscript, the installation fails...

Notice
It was a great idea to make possible simultaneous use of fr2.xx and fr3.xx
Thanks....

    2. Set the defauldatabase property of the TfrxXXXComponents. Now all datasets will be connected to this db by default.
    3. You should use 2.53 to correctly convert FRF files to FR3.
    4. Turn on the "Free bands placement" in the View|Options in FR3 designer.
    5. We canoficially support only DB engines shipped with Delphi. All other DB engines will be included into powerpack.

    Theodore

I am very interested in your point 7. I am having major 3.02 install problems.

How did you resolve the problem? Which files/settings/etc did you delete/change?

    TIA

Before installing FR3 you should uninstall FS!

Alex you made the point for zsleo....:
First goto and remove fs, then install fr3. It should be ok...
    Thanks...
    I will try the solutions...

Rich Text Editor. To edit a paragraph's style, hit tab to get to the paragraph menu. From there you will be able to pick one style. Nothing defaults to paragraph. An inline formatting menu will show up when you select text. Hit tab to get into that menu. Some elements, such as rich link embeds, images, loading indicators, and error messages may get inserted into the editor. You may navigate to these using the arrow keys inside of the editor and delete them with the delete or backspace key.
