Limit a band to X rows?

I am not looking to limit a band to X rows per page (I can find plenty of guides of how to do that), but I want to limit the number of rows each time the band appears in total.

I have a band that appears in a SubReport within another band. But I don't want the band to expand beyond its 'boundaries' nor to 'expand' the 'master band', I just want it limited by the size of the SubReport.

Is this possible? Because right now, the band expands beyond its boundaries but does not scale its parent band, so it just appears underneath the bands below it.

Rich Text Editor. To edit a paragraph's style, hit tab to get to the paragraph menu. From there you will be able to pick one style. Nothing defaults to paragraph. An inline formatting menu will show up when you select text. Hit tab to get into that menu. Some elements, such as rich link embeds, images, loading indicators, and error messages may get inserted into the editor. You may navigate to these using the arrow keys inside of the editor and delete them with the delete or backspace key.
