Size of PDF files created by FR

I have a database application which I sell to a number of clients. It uses FR components.

Previously a PDF generated by a typical small report for my system was around 12kb. Now a customer has noticed that the file size has risen to 600kb, or more. Some PDFs of just 2 pages are 1.5meg in size.

I have the "minimize file size" box ticked in the PDF generator dialogue.

I wonder what could have caused this change to take place?

if your program gives the user acess to the export dialog make sure he has checked embed fonts.

    I think it should read
if your program gives the user acess to the export dialog make sure he has NOT checked embed fonts
.... which will lead to all kind of other problems such as unreadable PDFs.

Also do not encrypt pr password protect the PDF because that embeds fonts automatically.

Try replacing the PDF export unit with the older version of it. Where this can be found is mentioned in one of the PDF threads, hunt for it. You will need FR PRO for this so that you can recompile FR.

Rich Text Editor. To edit a paragraph's style, hit tab to get to the paragraph menu. From there you will be able to pick one style. Nothing defaults to paragraph. An inline formatting menu will show up when you select text. Hit tab to get into that menu. Some elements, such as rich link embeds, images, loading indicators, and error messages may get inserted into the editor. You may navigate to these using the arrow keys inside of the editor and delete them with the delete or backspace key.
