Changing DataSet at runtime

Hi,

I see that I can allow the end-user (runtime) to redesign the Reports; however, they have to choose only the fields that are available through TfrxDBDataset.

Is there a way that they could choose tables (or create queries) from a TDatabase or equivalent?

Thanks.

Just put one or more DB components (TfrxADOComponents, TFrxBDEComponents, etc.) on your form and you will see the DB components when you are editing a "Dialog Page"...

See FastReport's Demos... There is a demo that demonstrates how to use the FastReport's DB components...

    PS: Demo 51 and 52.

    regards.

    Thanks a lot. That's a solution, but it's rather complex for an end-user. ;)

There are several component's, like ListBox, where you can list the possible Tables for the end-user... Then, you make the query through FastScript... This can make it a little more easy for the user...

Rich Text Editor. To edit a paragraph's style, hit tab to get to the paragraph menu. From there you will be able to pick one style. Nothing defaults to paragraph. An inline formatting menu will show up when you select text. Hit tab to get into that menu. Some elements, such as rich link embeds, images, loading indicators, and error messages may get inserted into the editor. You may navigate to these using the arrow keys inside of the editor and delete them with the delete or backspace key.
