Convert old reports to FR3

edited 5:19PM in FastReport 3.0
Hello,

In Fastreport 2.54 i saved prepared reports to .frp files.

Is it possible in fastreport 3 to open these old reports.
And if thats possible to save then afterwards as .fr3 files.

I have this problem some time ago.
I don't know if you can transform the prepared report, but you can transform the source of report (*.frf) into a new version (*.fr3). After that you compile the report and can obtain another prepared report in fr3.
The tool of conversion is on the site and work with some exception. I discover that don't work under XP.
    Good Luck.

    Thanks,

But i allready found that tool to convert Report Layouts (.frf). But that tool can't convert saved prepared reports (.frp).

Is there any other solution to open those old report in FR3, because I dont want Fastreport 3 and 2.5 both in my application. But still have to be able to open those old save reports.

    .frp files cannot be converted.

The solution I am using is to have on the same window noth fr 2.5 and Fr 3 reports to preview the prepared reports. Then I found somewhere in this forum that the first few bytes of the prepared report will tell you whether this is a 2.x or a 3.x report
