Report.GetDataSource("datasource").Enabled = true;

online designer is the one and only report designer in .net core

i think you've mistaken between .net core and .net framework, read this http://www.codechannels.com/article/micros...ad-of-net-core/

if you want to run designer with GUI, stick to .net framework

Fast report Data source as picture
    1-MS access connection
    2-OLE BD connection
    3-OBDC connection
    4-MS sql connection
    5-XML database
    6-CSV database

on another report engine as crystal report and devexpress report find as on another picture data source can pass entity framework and object binding(view model)

how in fast report to work with pass data source as entity framework or object binding(view model)?

    note:
we work with entity framework core and MVC .net core

Our solution for create or update report data source using view model / data model.

Using XML document for update dictionary node by create new report with new data source and load it in memory stream and take dictionary child's from it and insert them in our report file by code.

We attached the solution method to help any one face like this problem.

a simple way to update frx file, in fastreport.report namespace, there is a method : void Save(string fileName)

after loading frx into memory, modify it by code, then save

    Hello,
I landed here because I was havibg issues passing parameters to reports, and I'm using the GUI report designer. If what you say is true, and I'm not doubting it, how come I am able to view in my dotnet core webapp the the reports perfectly as long as they don't have parameters?

while you're working with GUI designer, you can set dummy parameter from script

in fastreport.net framework library, fastreport.report class has method 'design' => report.design()
you can use it only on desktop application (winforms)

in dotnetcore library, generally web application, if you want to integrate the designer with web application, you have to use 'online designer'

"if you want to integrate the designer with web application"
Aha I don't need to integrate designer with my web app I just want to create standalone reports that my application will call, what am I not understanding? As far as I know, dotnet core is cross platform so the reason I suppose for the oinline designer is for Linux, mac users to be able to use it. I'm very comfortable with the GUI designer please explain to me further maybe I am missing something

Rich Text Editor. To edit a paragraph's style, hit tab to get to the paragraph menu. From there you will be able to pick one style. Nothing defaults to paragraph. An inline formatting menu will show up when you select text. Hit tab to get into that menu. Some elements, such as rich link embeds, images, loading indicators, and error messages may get inserted into the editor. You may navigate to these using the arrow keys inside of the editor and delete them with the delete or backspace key.
