Installation problem with TeeChart Pro7

I have installed TeeChart Pro7 in my Delphi7.
When I tried to install package of Fastreport.
I got a error message -

"Cannot load package Tee70, it contains unit TeeAbout, which is contained in package Tee77"

And I tried to add Tee70.bpl, it told me it conflict with Tee77.

Pls tell me how to do? Thanks in advance.

Steps are described in the "teechart.txt" file.

I am having the same problem with TeeChart Pro6 in my Delphi7 with FR3.01 but not with FR3.00. Where can I find the teechart.txt file? It is not in my FR3.01 Standard distribution.

it is in the root folder where you have installed FR3.01.

No it is not. The only reference I can find is in problem.txt and that does not work! I have tried it at least 4 times now and on 2 different computers

It is almost 1:00 am in the morning and I am tired and frustrated! ;)

I am going to sleep and hopefully there will be an asnwer in a few hours

Probably you have FR3.00 (in FR3.01 there is no "problem.txt" file!)
Today FR3.02 has been released. It has a "recompile wizard".

I use FR3.0, there is no Teechart.txt at the Fastreport root.
Would you pls send it to me by mail?
I hope it won't be inconvenient for you.
    Thanks

Yes. I did get the "problem.txt" from 3.00 but I was installing 3.01 and I was trying those instructions to see if it worked.

I have also downloaded 3.02 and the wizard has not solved the problem for me.

I have gone back to 3.00 which I is working okay after recompile....
  • Just to report my installation experience with FR 3.02:

    - I didn't found TEECHART.TXT file

    - Wizard enclosed used with TEECHART 7 option selected.

    - To recompile all packages I' ve been forced to modify every *.inc files by hands because procedure continue to look for TEE and not TEE77. (in fact TEE was referenced and not TEE77)

I don't know if it' s normal, but wizard procedure has some bug to fix, I bet.

    cheers ;)

The recompile wizard does not work with me. I reports it has built servel packages, however I see no new bpl anywhere. I have admin permissions.

Same error found with FR 3.03 and not with FR 3.02.

FrxReg.inc and FS_Ireg.inc have been setted to use teechart 7 package according with teechart.txt file, but no way to recompile packagesat all without error
"Cannot load package Tee70, it contains unit TeeAbout, which is contained in package Tee77"

I tried to recompile packages using wizard included, it seems to fail operation.

I don't believe something's wrong in FR, but installation instructions aren' t completely clear.

May someone write a short step by step installation note?

    thanx in advance

    Be careful about duplicate BPLs.

    Check

    windows\system32

    and

    Delphi7\Projects\Bpl

And make sure you only have one copy of each BPL.
