Tutorial

edited May 2011 in FastReport .NET
Apologies if this is a recurring post but can anyone point me in the direction of a set of FR tutorials. I am a fairly accomplished programmer who has reported in SQL, SQR, Access, Crystal etc but can't even seem to find the first steps in this. Talk about frustrating.

I'm using VS2010(vb) and MS SQL Svr.

Thanks you

Brian

OK lets ask the question a different way. Is anyone aware of commercial training available for FastReports.Net within the UK?

FastReport .NET it's easy to use. It does not require any special education.

There is documentation and there are many examples.
You can find documentation here http://www.fast-report.com/en/download/fas...t-download.html

Moreover, you can get help in FastReports support system http://www.fast-report.com/en/support/ticket_list.php

As olegk said it is true fastreport.net is easy to use, I don???t think in order to learn fastreport.net there is a need to subscribe for any commercial education institute, If you prefer to follow documentation as suggested by olegk you will be perfect in fastreport.net. I have seen many of my friends who just follow this type of documentation and they participate in forums which really helped them a lot. I too recommend you the same.Only problem from this type of learning is that you wont get the certificate,to get a certificate you need to join the institute.I have met few people who have experience in developing call center software,if needed i can share there contact info which might help you.

Here's a pretty good tutorial to watch to get you started. Skip to 9:50 to get right to how to create a simple report:

Rich Text Editor. To edit a paragraph's style, hit tab to get to the paragraph menu. From there you will be able to pick one style. Nothing defaults to paragraph. An inline formatting menu will show up when you select text. Hit tab to get into that menu. Some elements, such as rich link embeds, images, loading indicators, and error messages may get inserted into the editor. You may navigate to these using the arrow keys inside of the editor and delete them with the delete or backspace key.
