Just drag the Rich Text component to the design and press preview and you will see that it does not render.

I did also try saving the report in my project and when a Rich Text object exists on the report the save callbacks is never called, and if I delete the Rich Text objects it starts working again.

Is this a bug?

Unable to find an entry point named 'SetWindowTheme' in DLL 'user32'

This was happening on version 2020.2.0 so I upgraded to Demo version 2026.1.4 and the problem still persists.

I want to be sure that it is fixed in the release version before I pay to upgrade the library.

I’m facing a problem where the report preview sometimes doesn’t render correctly in my .NET application. I’ve tried updating the libraries and checked some forum threads, but still have inconsistent results.

Has anyone encountered a similar issue? What steps helped you fix it?

How do you guys test whether the report you generate is according to GS1 standard or at least the sizing metric?

Is there a way to ensure the barcode follows the rules when coding/setting it up?

because we get updated Report we like to have all settings in Report Source Code at one place.

we have a Text Field with a expression like .Text ="[fieldname]"

i made a function to replace this text it looks like [ChangeMe([fieldname])] that works well in report designer UI.

now i need the same within C# but it seems the function is not found at report preview .

having MyTextField.Text = "[ChangeMe([fieldname])]" run into error.

I am using Fastreport community edition v2025.2.0, here I am trying to apply data range filter in "Data Band" filtering for Code. The filter expression is like,

GreaterThanOrEqual([SOMain.Contacts.Code], [FromContactCode])

but it gives error "The name 'GreaterThanOrEqual' does not exists in the current context"

I'm trying to convert some SRSS reports to Fast-Reports and those reports have multiple seperate queries in them that I added as seperate datasources. Since I also need to have an in( lsit of ID's) that is variable I need to update the SQL. SRSS can take care of this with a paramater that has Multiple value enabled but now I have to do it my self. Since I want some code ot automatically update toe SQL, since all my queries van a part "CLID in (@CLID)" in them I want to replace the "in (@CLID)" with a list of id's like "in (1,2,3,4,5)".

But there seems to be no way to enumerate the Datasources? The reason I go this route is because I want the frx file to be as selfcontained as possible, like the .rdl files in SRSS so I'm trying to build a generic paramater dialog and the fix the SQL queries embedded in the frx before running it.

I guess most people have static reports , an/or use assigning a Dataset (ie a query executed outside the Fast-Report, but still you need to now the name of the dataset, so the code is tightly bound to the frx file, which I want to prevent.

Does amnyone have a good idea or method to get to the Datasources, or should I go another route?

Ie. Show a report for 1-10-2025 - 31-10-2025 for all queues. Then clikc on the queue from that report and show details for the same period and that specific report. I need to pass 3 parameters.

When I want to call this report from a winforms application I have a simple button that does this.

It then gives an error on the Prepare() step.

Since the report runs fine in the Report Designer I am wondering whether some setup needs to be done here that is not directly in the Docs.

P.S. I am running the Opensource version since I am still evaluating the product.

The cells mentioned contains this:

It looks like it is not processing the function I created and that messes up the entire script processing. I think I might have to register some assembly to execute the script code, but I can't find anything about this.

Can anyone help me get this to work. This product is the closest to SRSS I have found and converting basic reports was not that hard.

When I created the report, I designed it and used it for the first time. It displays well, and when the information needs to change, it doesn't change. It always displays the information from the first time the report was used.

This image is when I did it for the first time. I got the information I needed, but for each sale I have to generate the new information in the report. They are commands.

I repeat through SQL, everything works fine.

I am using FastReport Designer version 2024.1.10 (and also have the option to edit the report in FastReport Online Designer version 2025.2.3).

I'm using

Because I was having an weird error and found an answer here in the forum.

My solution has 3 projects:

Library that holds my report objects (netstrandard2.0)

ASP.NET MVC web application (.NET 8.) which provides an API to export a report to PDF.

WinForms .NET Framework application only used to design and preview my reports.

2 What is working?

I can design and preview my report using my objects in the WinForms application as expected. And I saved the frx file from there. I looked into the frx file and the 'bindingSource1' is defined there.

3 What is not working?

In my ASP.NET MVC I'm loading my objects and passing it to a Report object, simply like this:

The exception below is raised on the PreparePhase1() method.

In this case, my app supplies the report template and the report data to the FastReport classes and the user views the report in the application's windows (using a fast report WinForms control).

In need to do the same thing now in a .net maui application for Windows, Android and IOS. 

Does Avalonia wotk this way?  Some of the descriptions I was reading made it seem like it might be a web-based, not embedded in the app, solution

In my Code page, I have a function:

Through some research, during Compile, it looks like AddStubClasses in MsAssemblyDescriptor shows that Uri belongs to System.Net instead of System.

I'm trying to figure out what's wrong with my report. For some reason, it keeps compiling incorrectly.

I have a simple report structure with two datasets: parent and child. Ideally, I want to generate a report that displays one parent band and its related child bands on a single page, continuing to form rows on subsequent pages until all results are displayed.

I have opened a ticket and support is working on it, but I figured I would post here as well to see if anyone else might be experiencing this as well and if anyone found a solution.

Support suggesting updating my nuget packages, which I have done.

However, the issue still exists. I have noticed, oddly, that the issue doesn't appear to occur on all computers (we currently have 5 devices and the issue exists on 4 of them), but I don't know why or if that's just some sort of fluke. We had NO issues with 2024, or any previous version of Fast Reports, so this issue is new with 2025.

Has anyone else experienced anything like this? I'm open to suggestions, as I would like to publish an update to our software that this is currently delaying.

I want to use a pdf as background in a report, i know i can convert it to image and use it but i want to use the pdf.

If its not possible within the designer, is there any other way maybe by using code etc.?

Is it possible to limit number of rows that Subreport can print on single page?

The report of the invoice and the delivery bill are almost identical. nevertheless, the presentation of the delivery bill is wrong.

On the delivery bill, the serial numbers are displayed almost twice. which is unnecessary. and on the invoice it is correct. can you explain this to me? the DataBand looks exactly the same on both. The upper picture is the delivery bill.

i tried to run the viewer for blazor wasm with .net 8. but it doesnt run. i got an error.

I installed this Nuget packages:

FastReport.Blazor.Wasm.Demo 2025.2.1

 ---> System.TypeInitializationException: The type initializer for 'SkiaSharp.SKFontManager' threw an exception.

 ---> System.DllNotFoundException: libSkiaSharp

After the error i added the Nuget:

There was no runtime pack for Microsoft.AspNetCore.App available for the specified RuntimeIdentifier 'browser-wasm'.

The installation works fine in a Blazor Server project without any errors. I have also searched for any Blazor WebAssembly demo examples in the source code format but was unable to find any relevant resources.

Could you please guide me on how to properly use FastReport.OpenSource.Web in a Blazor WebAssembly project, and if there are any specific instructions or modifications required for this environment?
