Calculated measures - Delta % on previous period

Hello.

Having two dimensions (Year and Quarter) and one measure (Net price), it is possible to add a new calculated measure (Delta on previous year) that calculates the increment of a year versus the previous?

Here the formula used to calculate Delta on previous year: ((Field A - Field B) / Field B)

Your instructions are more than brief. Still, I'm having 2 problems.

I have 4 fields in Query. There are only three in TfcxDataSource.

I don't know, not working localization of caption header.

TFDFunction.QryOpen(FqryCubeDeposit);

Having a cube with a Quarter dimension and a Net price measure, I would like to add a calculated measure that calculates the portion of a dimension versus the same dimension subtotal:

It is possible?

It is possible to do the same on totals and grand totals too?

And, if it is, how?

Change Fastcube language dynamically

Hi,
As a new user of FastCube, I wonder how to change the language of the FastCube interface dynamically.
We have a multilingual software and we need to change its language depending on the connected user.
I found some ressources in GitHub but I don't know how to use them as I didn't find any sample code in the developer manual or on the internet.
Can you explain me how to do this?

We have fastcube versiyon 1.x license. we are trying to move development platform to new laptop.
i've installed FastCube to the laptop but i can not edit scripts when i open existing prooject with Delphi 2007

Edit: the only one change from previus development platform is the new one also has Delphi XE2 installed.

any idea?

FastCube 2 - Set column width of measures

Hi there, I am evaluating FastCube v2.2.7 for Delphi XE7, and I'm trying to set the column width of measures persistently, so it stays the same next time the user opens the app.

I have tried adjusting the column width with the mouse at run-time and then saving the schema. But when reloading the schema, it is back to the default again.

I have also tried
fcxSlice.SliceFields.ItemByName.Width := 250;

but there is no effect. For width of dimension fields on the Y axis, also no effect. Please help me.

Move Measures to Column Area in code

The most confusing part of the FastCube is explaining that they have to drag fields to the area marked "Move Measure Fields Here", and explain to them why their measure fields don't then appear. It is not intuitive that the Measures list count increments without being able to see the list of fields that has already been added. Is there either a property or some way to change the Grid/Slice so that the Measure List is already part of the Column area i.e. how do I, in code, drag the Measures from the filter area to the column area?

There is a different use by filtration of values of dimensions and of measures. By filtering dimensions there must be 1 value checked, by filtering measures and changeing the selections the measures disappears.

Combobox to select the field

As suggestion, I would ask you to add a Combobox to select the field in the "Field List".
In my case, I have more than 100 variables, it is hard to pick one using the current system.

I would ask you to continue using the current system, but adding a combobox above the list, so if you type for example "Cust", it should filter by Cust* variables in the list, showing all variables that begins by "Cust"

Subtraction instead of sum

I need to subtract totals instead of sum them(see attachment).
I use following function to make the job

I see Fast Cube calculates the Week Number from a date. How can I define my own algorithm to calculate this number? Our software is sold around the world and many regions use different systems to determine the last week of the year or when it starts.
By the way, which system does FastCube use? ISO?

Out of memory

I have doing a report with 250,000 records and 7 fields. When I drag and drop a field to measures, it works. The second time that I drag another field, I get "EoutMemory Error". I have checked my RAM and there are 2GB free.
Also, I have noted that if I save the cube to mdc file and then I load it, everything works fine.
It seems that the problem only happens when FastCube use directly the dataset that I provide, in my case IBObjects. I am managing millions of records with IBObjects and should not be problem. It seems a bug,

If you cannot fix it, a workaround will be to dump the Firebird dataset in another structure that can manage FastCube. Which type of class do you recommend?

Description for variables in Field List

As suggestion, I would ask you to add a description for selecting variables in Field List. In my case, my OLAP has 200 columns, and names are too short to understand many of them.
It would be great if in the Field List, there is a place to show a description of each variable.

problems with D7 demo

I??ve instaled fastcube demo for D7. when I try to compile demo I get this erro:
[Fatal Error] Unit1.pas(7): Unit fcxSliceGrid was compiled with a different version of fcxMeasureEditor.TfcxMeasureEditorForm

and when I try to open advence demo i get this error:
class TfcxChar not found

Installing FastCube for testing purposes.
Installed it. Then I try to add it to my program.
I get a compile error:

[DCC Fatal Error] fcMeasureEditor.pas(563): F2051 Unit fcMeasuresEditor was compiled with a different version of fcMeasureEditor.TfcMeasureEditor.

I have tried recompile.exe,
I have tried compiling the XE2 project dclfcd16.dproj. Nothing works.

we have a table which contains event records. In this table, we have eventStartDate and eventEndDate fields.
we wanna show event duration as time (like '00:02:39') on fcGrid and show it as seconds (like 159) on fcChart.
These fields are calculated fields.

FastCube vs HierCube

I have been using HierCube for many years to enable Dekstop OLAP for my users in my applications. The support from Radarsoft has gone down the tubes though, so I am considering changing to a new OLAP componet set.

Can anyone offer some advise in terms of if FastCube can deliver in much the same way as HierCube/RadarCube?

Any comments appreciated.

Problem with DefaultFormat for FMTBCDFields

We use MSSQL and Delphi.

We have fields of type "decimal(18, 0)" - we use them to store integer values. We also use decimal(18, 2) for prices etc etc.
But problem is with decimal(18, 0). Because of default format all the values show as for example:
1,00
2,00
3,00

but it was, and should :
1
2
3

We lastly updated version to 1.10.4, a and before it was all ok.
We have mdcoLoadWithDefaultFormat option turned to False.

Fast Cube and FireDAC(anyDAC)

I'm trial user of Fast Cube.
I've got FireDAC Client/Server Pack for Delphi XE3.
When replace local dbexpress component with FireDAC, my test program for FastCube doesn't work well.
(Of course, I verified FireDAC & XE3 DB access components program works well.)

On compiling, delphi display warning like following. (Sorry, I translated Japanese msg to English one.)
[dcc32 hint] fcMeasureEditor.pas(485): H2443 inline-function 'MessageDlg' can't be expanded because 'System.UITypes' isn't declared in USES list.

Then when I execute this compiled module, read exception will occur.

Is this because I use trial version? Or FastCube dosn't match FireDAC?

Please instruct me.
